More than 5,000 heavy equipment items to be sold at Ritchie's second Edmonton auction
EDMONTON--Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, the world's largest industrial auctioneer, will conduct a massive three-day heavy equipment auction in Edmonton, AB on April 24 - 26, 2013. More than 5,000 heavy equipment items and trucks will be sold in the auction—every item will be sold to the highest bidder, regardless of price—without minimum bids or reserve prices. Bids can be made in the auction on-site, online in real time at www.rbauction.com or by proxy.
"With more than 5,000 items already being sold—and more being added daily—our upcoming Edmonton auction provides potential buyers with a great opportunity to acquire the equipment they need," said Jim Rotlisberger, Regional Sales Manager, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers. "We've extended the auction to three days from the original two and are featuring a large variety of late-model, well-maintained equipment from virtually every industry."
This will be the second Ritchie Bros. auction in Edmonton in 2013—the first, held on March 7 - 8, featured more than 3,500 equipment items and attracted close to 5,700 bidders from 35 countries.
The upcoming April 2013 Edmonton auction already features more than: 125 hydraulic excavators,115 crawler tractors, 40 wheel loaders, 35 motor graders, 25 motor scrapers, 55 skid steer loaders, 200 truck tractors, 90 dump trucks, 65 flatbed trucks, 45 articulated dump trucks, 180 pickup trucks and much more.
Equipment in the auction will be sold for close to 700 sellers, including a complete dispersal for Dawn Lynn Construction Ltd.—an oilfield construction company that has been selling with Ritchie Bros. since 1999.
"The Dawn Lynn Construction equipment available in this auction is very well-maintained and is ready for immediate use," said Brian Ellis, president of Dawn Lynn Construction Ltd. "I have been selling with Ritchie Bros. for almost 15 years, and so it's fitting that the final dispersal of my fleet before I retire is done through them. They have a great reputation and I am pleased to have another opportunity to work with Ritchie Bros., as I consider them to be the best in the auction business. And, with their online bidding and global influence, I know that I have the opportunity to achieve the best possible value."
